A stunning waterfront apartment only metres from the river on the Newcastle quayside. Huge, south-facing windows in the lounge overlook the river making it a light and sunny apartment with amazing views up the river to Newcastle's famous bridges.


The exciting bars and restaurants of the Newcastle quayside are only a few minutes walk. In the other direction the historic and arty Ouseburn district is also only five minutes walk and is a good venue for real ale and live music in great traditional British pubs like the Tyne and slightly further the Free Trade. The Free Trade especially has fantastic views along the river and a quiet drink watching the sun set behind the bridges is highly recommended. For those into cycling there's also the Cycle Hub, which hire's out bikes and has a cafe to meet fellow enthusiasts.

Newcastle Central Station is accessible by bus from the nearby City Road and is a gateway to Newcastle's suburban Metro system as well as trains further afield to destinations such as Edinburgh and Durham. Taxis are also plentiful at the station, although a contact list is in the apartment. Newcastle is a compact city and most things in the centre can be accessed quickly by walking from the apartment.


The apartment has two bedrooms, a brand new designer bathroom, balcony, parking and a fully equipped kitchen but the real glory of the apartment is the lounge. You can sit in comfort and simply watch the river and its traffic or admire the buildings, such as the Baltic Centre for Contemporary Art or the extraordinary Sage Music centre, and the view along the river to the bridges. It really is that close to the water.

The large, comfy lounge leads onto the balcony, and has a large flatscreen TV, a DVD player with a selection of DVDs, free wireless broadband. plus a dining table with seating for six people.

The balcony also overlooks the river with those great views and being on the first floor is ideal for people watching on the quayside below.

The kitchen has a separate oven and hob, dishwasher, microwave and a fridge/freezer, a washer/dryer is also available.

A free parking spaces is available next to the Mariners Wharf apartment block.

The apartment comes with many small items that make a stay enjoyable and hassle-free, such as a hair-dryer, ironing board and iron, free tea and coffee, secure entry to the building, on-call maintenance for any problems, extra towels/bedding if required, high chair and travel cot. Please note: the apartment is not accessible to wheelchairs; it is on the first floor and there is no lift access.
